Overview
The Department of Urology is structured to cover each sub-branch of urology. In our department, in addition to all urological diseases in the field of cancer, prostate diseases, stone diseases, and applications related to women’s and children’s urology are meticulously applied by specialist physicians.
The urology department has 5 patient examination rooms for diagnosis and treatment, a cystoscopy room, two intervention-dressing rooms, a urodynamics-uroflowmetry and biopsy room, and an ultrasonography device. The department also performs a transrectal ultrasound-guided “gold marker” procedure to increase the success of prostate cancer radiotherapy.
In our department, which serves patients with state-of-the-art devices in diagnostic methods, high-resolution MR examinations are performed for prostate cancer with artificial intelligence-based 3 Tesla MR. The department also performs prostate biopsy, percutaneous nephrostomy, ultrasound-guided antegrade stent placement with CT-guided biopsy and MR fusion biopsy for prostate cancer.
