Dr. Utku Mahir Yıldırım, M.D.

He was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1978. He was graduated from School of Medicine, Ankara University in 2002. He started his residency education in Department of Radiology, School of Medicine, Başkent University in 2004 and authored the dissertation titled ‘Contrast Enhanced MR Angiography Versus Digital Subtraction Angiography in Renal Artery Stenosis’’ in 2009. For his obligatory service, he worked at Department of Interventional Radiology in Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Teaching and Research Hospital, Ankara until 2013. Next, he was granted the title of Assistant Professor at İzmir University in 2013. His areas of focus include neurointerventional radiology, endovascular repair of aneurysms (EVAR,TEVAR), surgeries for arteries below the knee level and percutaneous biliary interventions. He authored 8 articles published in international journals and 19 articles published in national journals. He had translated 4 chapters from English to Turkish in a radiology text book. He is still Assistant Professor at Department of Radiology, School of Medicine in Izmir University.
