Penis Enlargement (Phalloplasty)

Enlarge the size, girth and length of your penis

Small penises are often ridiculed in society, as a sign of unmasculinity and sexual inadequacy. A lot of men with smaller than average penises suffer from sexual insecurity, personal attacks, and low self-esteem.
A penis can be enlarged in two ways: by increasing the length, and increasing the girth (circumference). Both procedures can be performed together or in isolation. Penis enlargement, or phalloplasty, penile enhancement, is a surgical procedure that can permanently increase the length of the penis. Lenght of the penis is increased usually by 2-5 cm (1-2 inch). There are also penile enhancement procedures that can increase the width/girth of the penis. Girth of the penis is increased usually by 2-3 cm. Also, non-surgical options exist.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Penile Enlargement Surgery?
And Who Is Not?

You are good candidates;
  • If you feel that your penis is too small
  • If you feel that your penis is very small in proportion to your body
  • If you worry your penis size negatively impacts your sexual confidence and performance
  • If you have scarring inside the penis with curved and painful erections (Peyronie’s disease)
  • If you have penile deformity and/or atrophy
  • If you have discomfort in your intimate life developing into a complex relating to the lack of length or lack of volume of your penis, and embarrassment in your social life (dressing room syndrome)
  • If you have micropenis. About 6 in 1,000 men have a micropenis, or penis that's less than 7 cm (2.8 inches) long when stretched
  • If you have aesthetic or psychological reasons

You are NOT good candidates;

  • If you have unrealistic expectations

Erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation are not important factor in patient selection. Smoking is not important but cessation smoking is associated with better outcomes.

Risk and Side Effect

Risks and side effects of surgical treatment are:
  • Pain
  • Hematoma and uncontrolled bleeding following surgery; this condition may necessitate extra surgery. (<%0.1)
  • Seroma (collection of fluid).
  • A decrease in the obliquity of the erect penis: relatively frequent relating to the section of the suspensory ligament of the penis.
  • Transitory troubles of sensitivity at the root of the penis.
  • Insufficient results
  • A pathological scarring (hypertrophic scars or keloids)
  • Infection. As with any surgery, infection is possible and infection rates are <%1.
  • Sensation changes
  • Before The Procedure

You temporarily stop taking aspirin and other anticoagulant drugs, which can increase your risk of bleeding. Smoking cessation 1 month before and after the procedure is better for wound healing. Penis enlargement surgery is done at hospital. Don't eat or drink anything after midnight before your surgery. Your anesthesia doctor might give you medication to make you unconscious during the surgery (general anesthesia) or medication that blocks pain in the lower part of your body (spinal anesthesia). Non-surgical penis enlargement procedures can done office room and you can eat or drink before procedure.

Your doctor will give you IV antibiotics to help prevent surgical and hospital acquired infection. The surgical incision site will also be shaved in operation room and washed with an alcohol-based antibiotic solution to decrease the risk of infection.

    Types of Surgery

There are three main types of Peyronie's disease and penile curvature surgery.

    • Penile lengthening
      • Suspensory ligament release and V-Y plasty (advancement)
      • Pubic lift (suprapubic fat pad excision / lipectomy)
      • Suprapubic liposuction
      • Scrotoplasty (ventral phalloplasty or penoscrotal web correction)
    • Penile widening (increasing penile girth)
      • Injection therapy
      • Dermal fillers
      • Fat injection
      • Grafts
      • Glans penis widening
    • Lenght and girth combined surgery

    Penis Length Enlargement Surgery

    • Suspensory ligament release and V-Y plasty (advancement)
All parts of the penis are not externally visible and extend inside the body. The hidden part is attached to the pubic bone through the suspensory ligaments. These do not play any role in the functioning of the penis (erection, ejaculation, etc.) but help retain an upwards facing in erected penis.

First incision is an upside down “V”, which is subsequently closed as “Y”, lengthening the dorsal skin, and bringing the lateral pubic hair skin medial. Other surgical procedure involves cutting some of the penis ligaments. This allows part of the “hidden” penis to move downwards and outside the body. As a result, the visible section of the penis increases.
    • Scrotoplasty (ventral phalloplasty or penoscrotal web correction)
Scrotoplasty involves removing any excess scrotal skin which is attached at the bottom of the penis. In some men, the scrotal skin might go as far as the middle of the shaft. Removing this extra skin can add significant visual length.
    • Supra-pubic liposuction or fat pad excision / lipectomy (pubic lift)
For men suffering from buried penis syndrome or have excess fat in their supra-pubic area (the pubic hair area) then removing this fat through liposuction, excision or both of them can add significant visual gain to the penis size. Once the all steps of surgery are finished, your doctor will sew the incisions closed. Each described surgery usually takes 30 minutes to an hour.

    Penis Girth Enlargement Surgery

    • Dermal fillers
For men who are not appropriate candidates for surgery or are unsure about it, it is possible to increase the girth and glans of their penis with the use of a filler. Girth enhancement with dermal fillers involves injecting the filler in the penis and can be performed under local anaesthesia. It is less downtime (your penis will be wrapped for only 2 – 3 days) but patients should be aware that the results are NOT permanent as the body will absorb the significant majority of the filler within one year

    • Autologous fat injection
Autologous (harvested from the patient) fat injection for penis girth enhancement is the most widely used technique and preferred method in terms of safety and achieving the required results.

Fat cells are harvested from your body through a micro-incision using a special cannula. After the fat has been harvested, it is specially processed so as to remove any non-fat tissue. This ensures that the post-surgery survival of fat inside the penis is maximized and the girth gain is retained. The fat is injected through a small incision on the penis. Advantages of this proced
    • Fat grafts
Instead of injecting fat in the penis, an alternative technique is the surgical placement of a fat graft (a fat graft is a layer of fat with the skin attached to it). The fat graft is initially harvested from the patient’s buttocks, the penis is then de-gloved and the graft sutured around the penis giving an increase in girth. But operation time is longer, graft being infected are higher than that of fat injection, scarring at donor site and main probem is that the graft might shrink post operatively and lead to penis retraction and loss of length.
    • Other grafts and implants
A similar technique is the surgical placement of a silicone or biodagrable sleeve grafts around the penis instead of a fat graft. It doesn't have disadvantages as fat grafts. Main disadvantage is that recovery time is significantly longer.
    • Glans penis widening
Penile girth enlargement techniques may produce an iatrogenic penile deformity of a thick penile body with a relatively small glans penis. Subcutaneous injection of fillers increases maximal glandular circumference.

Once the all steps of surgery are finished, your doctor will sew the incisions closed. Each described surgery usually takes 30 minutes to an hour.

    Girth and Lenght Combined Surgery

It is best to perform both the penile lengthening and widening procedures in the same operation. The fat injections from the widening procedure give more weight to the penis, which aids in stretching, possible, and lengthening the penis. And the patient satisfaction rate is higher in combined procedures.

    After Surgery

After penis enlargement surgery, you will likely need to take medications to ease pain. Mild pain might persist for 1-2 weeks. You might be given an antibiotic to be taken by mouth for a week to lower the risk of infection. Most men can resume strenuous physical activity about 2 to 4 weeks after surgery. You should not have sex for at least 4 weeks after surgery.

Penis enlargement surgery improves intimate satisfaction for you and your partner. Treatment can also reduce discomfort and frustration during sexual intercourse. New appearance of your penis can also boost your self-confidence in all areas of your life.

    Recovery Timeline

Recovery will vary for each man based on his immune system, type of surgery, and other factors. In general, you should expect to be out of activity for one to two weeks following your penis enlargement surgery. Within the first 5 days after surgery, the incision should heal. During the first week, swelling and discomfort will also subside considerably, but function and sensation should not be affected. Pain is not severe, and soreness in the groin and pubic regions (which lasts for about ten days) can be treated with light oral pain medication. The scar in the pubic hair area may take several months to fade and soften, but it is hidden and usually is not a concern.

Light activities may be resumed in a week, but it is best to take at least two weeks off of work, especially if it is strenuous. Everyone is unique, and healing times vary. However, the average recovery time is 4 weeks before you may start any sexual activity. During this period, your surgeon will evaluate what you may and cannot do. For the best results, it is important to follow all instructions from your health care providers.

The amount of length achieved after surgery will vary based on original size and how well the post-operative lengthening instructions were followed. Dr. Penis will recommend the use of weights (traction) attached to the penis after surgery to both maintain the new length and also potentially add further length; this should be done for 6 months daily and thereafter on a weekly basis to prevent scar tissue retraction

    This is the title

1How many cm does the penis extend after penis enlargement surgery?
After the penis enlargement surgery, maximum lengthening of 2-5 cm is achieved, the numbers above this are not realistic. Since the surgery is combined with penile thickening, the thickness of the penis will increase significantly. There is no limit to this. Therefore, both the increase in thickness and the change in length will cause the penis to appear larger and larger. If the penis enlargement surgery is repeated, the penis will become thicker and larger again. Therefore, while there is a certain limit in height, there is no limit in transverse growth.
2Is there any loss of sensation in penis enlargement surgery?
After the penis enlargement surgery, there is absolutely no change in the feeling, it continues in the same way as it was before. But in glans penis enlargement, if you have premature ejaculation, you can be cured.
3Is there any loss of erection in penis lengthening or thickening surgery?
There is absolutely no loss of erection (hardening) after penis lengthening surgery.
4How long after the surgery can I resume sexual activity?
Usually sexual activities can be resumed after 4 weeks.
5Does fat slip elsewhere in penis enlargement surgery?
After fat injection into the penis, it is definitely not possible for the fat to go to the scrotum (bags), the fat cannot go to another area, only swelling can cause temporary enlargement of the bag.
6If I lose weight, will the injected fat go away?
No. We have fat cells everywhere in our body. However the body only stores and burns fat (in the case of weight loss) from specific places. The first place that it does so is in the liver and then the abdomen (for men). Unless you lose almost all your body fat, it is very unlikely that weight loss will affect the result of your girth enhancement.
7Does penis enlargement surgery prevent premature ejaculation?
Penis enlargement surgery does not prevent or delay premature ejaculation. It has nothing to do with this issue. Temporary filling is applied to the head of the penis to prevent premature ejaculation.
8Can I still father children after penis enlargement surgery?
You will remain fertile after a penis enlargement procedure. If you were able to father children before the procedure then you will be able to do so after the surgery.
