Radiology
Radiology Unit is a department that provides diagnostic and diagnostic imaging services to patients. It progresses in a way that is related to all branches of medicine and is used in disease diagnosis in many areas. Our diagnostic devices in our unit include digital x-ray, digital mammography, doppler ultrasonography, 512-slice computed tomography, artificial intelligence-supported 3 and 1.5 Tesla MRI device, digital fluoroscopy and digital angiography (DSA), artificial intelligence-supported mobile digital x-ray device, BMD (bone measurement). ) is diagnosed with . The energy sources used in these devices vary. Sound waves are used in ultrasonography, magnetic field and radio waves are used in magnetic resonance, and X-rays are used in others.
In our clinic, all x-rays, routine USG examinations, as well as Doppler applications, obstetric CDUS and USG-guided biopsy procedures are performed. CT-guided biopsy procedures, virtual colonoscopy, and all CT angiographic imaging are performed. Early diagnosis and evaluation of treatment are possible with MRI examinations. Conventional imaging procedures such as stomach and intestinal films and cystography are performed in the fluoroscopy unit.
The Department of Radiology also contributes to treatments with angiography and interventional radiology. Non-surgical, relaxing treatments such as intra-abdominal fluid drainage are also performed for cancer patients. Mammography is of great importance for early diagnosis in the radiology department. It is used both for screening and early diagnosis of breast cancer. Apart from these, bone density measurement (BMD) for osteoporosis purposes is performed in our department.
